Demonic Bondage
"Now it happened, as we went to prayer,
that a certain slave girl possessed
with a spirit of divination met us,
who brought her masters much profit
by fortune-telling."
Acts 16:16
Scripture makes it clear that demon spirits are real. This girl was a fortune-teller and was obviously very good at it because it says she brought her masters much profit through her fortune-telling, yet it was the demon spirit that empowered her to speak. After it was cast out, she was no longer able to tell fortunes.
Notice that what the girl said was accurate:
vs 17:
"This girl followed Paul and us, and cried out, saying,
'These men are the servants of the Most High God,
who proclaim to us the way of salvation.'”'
So evil spirits can accurately divulge information. But Paul discerned this to be a demon spirit and he cast it out of her. Then she was no longer able to tell fortunes, because her source, the demon, the spirit, was cast out.
Today as we draw near to the end of the age, supernaturalism is infesting the entire world. Mediums and channelers are in every city. The book "Harry Potter" opened up witchcraft to our children and many went on to delve more deeply into the world of the occult, opening doors to demonic bondage.
The whole realm of the occult is absolutely forbidden to us by the Word of God. It always - ALWAYS - brings a curse on the one delving into any part of it no matter how benign it seems, no matter how "innocent." Satan doesn't care how you open doors to let him in, he only cares that you open them.
The Word of God tells us that many times the curse coming upon those who open these doors is so terrible that it is carried down to the third and even the fourth generation of those who involve themselves in it.
The most typical effects of the curse are premature death and mental illness. When you see a family with multiple members unexpectedly dying young especially in accidents or suicide, careful investigation will oftentimes reveal that the person or one of his/her parents or grandparents were involved in some form of occultism. When you see a family with multiple members afflicted with mental illness, it is oftentimes traceable to occult involvement. Not always. But many times.
Getting free from the curse of these things is often very difficult, the enemy will put up a fight, but it can be done. It necessitates total humility before the Lord, total surrender to the Lord Jesus Christ, and confession of the sins which brought the destruction to the family. The person must rid himself and his home of ALL occult articles, jewelry, and books; these articles are not to be given away lest they spread the curse to someone else, but must be destroyed without regard to the monetary value of them.
"And many who had believed came confessing and telling their deeds.
Also, many of those who had practiced magic
brought their books together and burned them in the sight of all.
And they counted up the value of them,
and it totaled fifty thousand pieces of silver."
Acts 19:180-19
If you are praying for someone with this kind of affliction, someone whose eyes are blinded from the truth, ask for mercy and pray that the person's eyes be opened because in many cases the afflicted person has been blinded to the Word of God.
"...whose minds the god of this age has blinded..."
2nd Corinthians 4:4
It will take a great deal of patience, dedication, and persistence to become free from the influence of these things. The Lord will lead and guide anyone seeking to rid himself of those awful bondages that are holding him IF the person is totally repentant and determined to surrender his entire self and life to the Lordship of Jesus Christ.
"For this purpose the Son of God was manifested,
that he might destroy the works of the devil."
1st John 3:8
Jesus came to minister to people like this, he came to heal the brokenhearted, open blind eyes, and set the captive free:
"...he has sent me to heal the brokenhearted,
to proclaim liberty to the captives
and recovery of sight to the blind,
to set at liberty those who are oppressed;"
Luke 4:1
Let anyone afflicted in this way stand on this passage and seek the Lord with all of your heart. If you do, you will find him.
It's sad to come across so many Christians today enthralled with witchcraft and the occult and see it as merely harmless entertainment especially through reading and watching Harry Potter=High Principality the clue is in the name! And say it is merely legalistic Christians whom say to not engage in witchcraft and sorcery. And that you are the evil wicked satanic demonic one sent from the kingdom of darkness for gently trying to tell them the truths in heavenly father Christ Jesus and through God's word and His Holy Spirit. And all what He says and thinks about such abominations.
In the UK when it was popular to introduce and read Harry potter books in schools, an actual practising high level witch wrote letters to schools and some of the English newspapers, warning to let them know that the spells in the Harry Potter books are based on actual real spells and are not to be trifled with as some form of entertainment and they were inviting things in to their lives they were completely ignorant of, and please don't allow young children to read such books, or watch the films and ban them from schools! So many of these Christians whom love witchcraft through Harry Potter say they love God but then they reject what He actually says about how He hates sorcery and that they reason well of course God doesn't mean what He says and that's all in the old covenant, when it's repeatedly mentioned all the way through in the new covenant too, repeatedly from the gospels to the epistles to the unveiling and to stay away from all appearances of evil & sorcery. These people are indeed being destroyed through their own ignorance and in loving to indulge and feed the desires of their flesh. Hence we see they are part of those mentioned in 2 Thessalonians chapter 2 unless they repent. Satan always appeals to the flesh, heavenly father in Christ Jesus always appeals to the spirit in us.
Unless someone coming To Christ Jesus is delivered and set free from all the trappings of the supernatural kingdom of darkness, they need to receive specific prayers, deliverance, repent, ask for forgiveness, renounce all their past dealings with satanic influences and practices, to receive & be forgiven purged cleansed, sanctified in and through the powerful precious blood of Jesus Christ, unless they are willing to be die be crucified buried with Christ and enter into the power of His resurrection life, die to self, die to their flesh, die to the world, die to satans system, die to the beast, die to the harlot, die to the false prophet, allow Jesus to emancipate and set them free from 'Egypt' & 'Babylon' only then will they be able to give their lives wholly to heavenly father & Jesus Christ without being divided in their loyalty and worship. You cannot drink [both] the Lord’s cup and the cup of demons. You cannot share in both the Lord’s table and the table of demons [thereby becoming partners with them]. 1 Corinthians 10:21
Only then are they able to grow mature and develop in their spiritual walk of the grace and knowledge in Christ Jesus as his disciple and Christian, as His name bearer, ambassador, emissary of His kingdom of holy pure light and of the Son of His love. And allow themselves to come under the headship of Heavenly father & Christ Jesus submitting conpletely to Him to lead them immediately through the process & to seek guidance and comfort through the Holy Spirit as well that teaches and leads into all truth.
Let no one be found among you who sacrifices their son or daughter in the fire, who practices divination (tarot is a divination tool!) or sorcery, interprets omens, engages in witchcraft, or casts spells, or who is a medium or spiritist or who consults the dead. Anyone who does these things is detestable (and abomination) to the Lord.
That also means not allowing any of these into your home through what you watch and listen to through your eye and ear gates which are portals that enable either evil or good into our thought life and hearts minds body & life which must be set apart as a living sacrifice unto Heavenly father alone without competing affections.
For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ. 2 Corinthians 11:13 They are imposters and deceivers. Remove all such and do not allow them to enter into your home through tech devices, if you have relatives involved have an honest conversation with them, claim your home for Heavenly father alone His Holy presence & Spirit & full authority only, and remove any items such as films, books, jewellery, oracle angel tarot cards and items given by people practicing those things & connected to spiritism from your midst, burn the items, pour bleach on them, bin them, don't give them to anyone, and no longer put yourself under listening to false workers & diviners-who claim to be God's prophets, for it is demonic evil unlean spirits are working through those persons. Learn to test the spirits and having discernment of the enemies workers and to recognise them, what is also the human spirit operating from the carnal soulish flesh in contrary or opposition to Heavenly fathers Holy Spirit.
Anything that is not of God's Holy Spirit have nothing to do with and cast them out and away from you. Put yourself under the headship of Jesus Christ & Heavenly father not putting a fallible human being in the position that rightfully only belongs to God in your life, in teaching instructing & prophetic uttereces must be tested and evaluated through prayer & Gods word. Even patiently waiting for His answers.
Remember Jesus' sheep hear his voice and refuse, do not listen to strangers. God will give you everything you need and learn to have complete dependency upon Him. To trust Him. He will not leave any of His children as orphans. If you seek Him, trust Him are obedient and faithful with the little He does bless you with, then He will not fail to respond to teach you & all you need in your walk & to grow and mature with Him & in Him. Remember we are never isolated or alone from Heavenly father no matter where we are. And He will never lead you astray ever, nor will He ever lie to you for He is not a man that He should lie, and it is impossible for God to lie. Resist the devil and he will flee from you, even allowing habitual practising of sins are entrance ways for the demons to harras manipulate torment and to repeatedly tempt you into further sin. Be an enclosed garden to Christ Yeshua & Heavenly father Yhwh walking in Him as the way upon the narrow path, the narrow secluded lush green valleys deep in the mountain of Zion as you walk up to the summit.
