Spiritual life is a PERSON, not a system. It is so easy to fall into this trap of relying on a formula or system of theology. Assurance comes from the Holy Spirit, a real Person, and not just a doctrine. I love doctrine. It has helped me. But anything, anything (theology, formulas, systems, religion, doctrines) WITHOUT the Living God in Jesus Christ will fail. This is a good article today.
