So true. Every decision we make should be bathed in prayer. It’s an important lesson. But is beauty the enemy? Pride is. Narcissism is. God designed us as humans a certain way when looking for a potential mate it’s important to find that person attractive. Of course beauty is in the eye of the beholder and not everyone is going to be appealing visually all the time so we cannot base our decisions solely on that surface level attraction. We have to use wisdom. I’ve seen people who are prideful and narcissistic and outwardly they are not attractive and I’ve seen those who are drop dead gorgeous but once getting to know them they were just as self absorbed. That’s why it’s so important to do like you said take it to the Lord and also get honest advice from your pastor or church leader.
Good words P. Good write. “But he giveth more grace. Wherefore he saith, God resisteth the proud, but giveth grace unto the humble. Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.”
