So good, and true. If Jesus had to “learn obedience through what he suffered,” we can expect no less for ourselves!
I remember praying for my kids when they were young, that they would grow up and have a deep faith in Christ.
God’s answer to those prayers was to bring both physical and emotional sufferings. The suffering impacted them both greatly and led to a clear profession of faith.
I like how the Psalmist looks back, meditating and musing on all God has done! It’s a great encouragement in the midst of suffering!
Yes, it's a very hard truth. Many were brought to the Lord out of a cesspool, and being told that God will heal you, set you free, and bless you. For these, it's quite a shock when you realize HOW the Lord brings us to maturity. So many have a wrong idea of the principles of the Kingdom.
