While I agree with what you said, I would qualify it by stating that the Bride of the Messiah is the Restrainer. And the Bride is a small subset of what the world knows as the Church. When you have 5% or less of the professed Christians in the US who even have a Biblical world view, you know the Bride is much smaller than most people think.
Oh I totally agree. I was thinking of those after the Rapture, that they might understand "the church" which will be gone, that they might understand by those who are left behind just who exactly the church WAS. I agree that that number is a very small percent of what the world knows as the church. I heard a statistic once that a survey showed that a very small percent of "the church" has even read the Bible, never mind daily.
It's sad that most people are churchians for fire insurance, but they don't even believe that a firestorm is coming. It's very frustrating that I can rarely get through to anyone. These days their mind is already solidly decided. There won't really be any surprises. I believe that is one of the main reasons that the Lord has let it drag out for so long. He wants to have solid proof of a person's decision, one way or the other. I remember Josh McDowell saying that we need to get rid of our maudlin feelings for those poor lost souls. They are actually solidly entrenched rebels, haters of God. I have found that to be true.
Interesting timing, indeed... ๐
