Totally understand. I had some deep seated anger towards my parents because of a number of “sins against me” as a child and young adult, but I had to essentially bring it to the foot of the cross and forgive, especially for some of my anger and other sinful behaviors that dated back to when I was only 7 or 8 years old.

I believe our childhood is a precious time given by God in which to learn and grow, so we come to understand our sins and once we do, God wlll then start holding us accountable. And even then, there is repentance which God grants once there is acceptance of Jesus as Savior. Deuteronomy 1:39 explains this time of grace; the Israels' children did not yet know right from wrong, but God did not hold them accountable. Also, the age of accountability is highly individual . God doesn't assign an age to that accountability because God is fair.
